Red face 1 of the Petsmarts in Madison ROCKS!!

I kid you not, we went to a movie then swung by the east side store in Madison WI. And went to just look around, I saw healthy reptiles, glowing, in clean cages WITH Humid hides!!
They took small gold fish bowls and put moss in them, kept moist for the reptiles that need them, and improvised others for smaller reptiles with things like cottage cheese or sour cream containers with the lids on, a cut out and upside down for them to go into. I saw geckos sleeping in them, and a HUGE and very healthy chameleon active and eating.
The balls were labeled captive hatch, and were healthy, fat, and bright eyed. They only had two per tank (better than most), and they had a lot of cover and a hide. With Aspen on top of the reptile carpet.
I talked to an employee and she quoted the policy to me that the reptiles were required to have moss in their habitats, and humid hides for those that needed them.
WOWOWWOW I was floored. I even spoke to the manager and she was knowledgeable and ensured the employees were too!.

And their prices weren't horrible either.
I got a dog toy and some filters for a fish tank.

yup it's all up to having a good manager and employees. I have seen good petsmarts, and even one good petco.

Now if only their policy on thermometers/hygrometers could be changed.. they have to use the stick on ones that are notorious for being inaccurate. The reason they have to use them is to promote those products for sale to new pet owners who don't know any better.
