Re: The unimaginable happened... our place burned down and all my animals are dead. :

Bruce, I don't even know what to say. Except I am sorry. I too have been through a house fire. Its the most gut wrenching thing, and I am sorry you have to go through it.

You have a huge community of support here, and like others said if you need anything just ask. As hard as it is, try hold your head up.

I don't think I can say anything other than what has been said already I'm so, so sorry. I don't know you personally, but you've been a wonderful presence here and no one deserves to have to go through something like this. If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

Bruce though I've never met you in person I always get a kick out of your posts and enjoy your viewpoints and your animals.Theres not really anything that I can say to make you feel better but I cannot even imagine the anguish you are feeling right now.I am very happy you guys made it out ok and THAT is what is important. You can never replace those animals that you lost but you can always rebuild... You have a strong community behind you that I'm sure would be willing to contribute. So if you need anything don't be ashamed just ask.

Oh man This is some really horrible news. I wish there were something I could do. Maybe all of us Bp.netters can donate a little to help get you back on your feet. I am not sure as to how to set something like that up but its an idea.

Bruce and Jerome, I am so sorry. Much much sympathy and support. If you need anything, please ask. Maybe the group of us could rally and send things... at any rate, if any tangible help is needed, speak. And for the time being, know that you have the thoughts and support of me and of many here.

Re: The unimaginable happened... our place burned down and all my animals are dead. :

We just got back AGAIN. We still cannot get in. I cannot get anyone to listen, or to check. If I said I had dogs up there I know I would get attention.

I have posted on Reptiles Canada hoping for foster homes, but I do not think there will be any need at this point.

We have a small dog there that tried to chew her way out of the building and lost all her teeth in the process. We are focused on finding her a foster home. She was the dog of the man that started the fire.

He killed my animals, he does not get his back.

This poor dog is terribly neglected and I will be damned if I hand her back to this man.

I am angry and grieving. But we have great friends and we are blessed to have had so many people pull together to help us immediately.

It is 1 am right now, and we ran out the front door a few minutes after 7am. I dread what the next few days will look like. I am weak at the thought.

Thanks for the kind words and the support. I really did need to talk to snake people right now.
