I know about her pre lay shed...I was wondering about he ovulation......Everyone asks me if she has ovulated yet and I have no idea. I might of missed it or maybe she hasent yet....she shed last week but?????? I dont know...
This is the way I understand it via Dr. Mark Seward: Follicular development can take 4-8 months. This would coincide with the females' cool-seeking behavior. Ovulation takes place within a 24-hour period and is marked by a noticeable swelling in the mid-body of the snake as the ova are released from the follicles. The ova then deposit themselves in the oviducts where fertilization and shelling occur, and embryo development is underway. Approximately 20-21 days after ovulation, the pre-lay shed is purported to occur. Approximately, thirty days after the shed...paydirt. We're in the process of verifying this sequence--or at least documenting a good sample of females that hold to it, however closely.
So, you should notice a swelling over a 1 to 2 day period. Ours look like they swallowed guinea pigs.

Reason: Answer refined.
What should my temps and humidity level be at this time?
Post ovulation, be sure the female can get her body temps up to about 88-90. Humidity matter much less, as long as you pull the eggs after they are laid and incubate artificially.
