Why? You'll just have an obese monitor. Stick to insects such as roaches, lean protein like ground turkey, eggs, f/t mice.

I've seen SO many in captivity that are grossly obese. It's disgusting. Fatty liver disease is very common as is a slow, early death.

Proper diets go a long way in the proper care of a monitor, especially Savs who have the propensity for getting fat.

I truely think that with animals that have a varied diet in the wild should still have one in captivity, he/she will get ASF, small rats, mice, bugs, turkey and this odd homemade lean meat loaf I see people using, eggs and chicks. I hope that he is just the size of a wild one although we know it can get up to 5 foot.
    Too many pets to list!
