Co-Dom or Recessive? (Hypothetical Question)
If you had a morph (Lets say a Z Morph) and you had a choice between a Z Pastel or a Z Het Hypo, which would you choose and why?
The Z morph is a great thing on its own, but....
Would you be more interested in the Co-dom aspect or the Recessive aspect of the project?
Which combos interest you more in general?

Re: Co-Dom or Recessive? (Hypothetical Question)
I guess it depends on what the two combos looked like.. If the Z Pastel looked like a Parrot with scales and the Z Hypo Looked like a faded Z then I'd go pastel and visa versa

Let us assume that both are super hot morphs in their own right

Both, of course.

The problem is that it would be a HET Z... so yes, normal offspring

Re: Co-Dom or Recessive? (Hypothetical Question)
I'm a pastel combo kinda person if it were to come to looks alone. If you're taking into account pricing factors for a long term investment then I would do the recessive. In my utopian snake world I would have both

Re: Co-Dom or Recessive? (Hypothetical Question)
If our list of assumptions defines the Z-morph animal as both male and co-dom, I would say the recessive. As far as morphs go, recessives hold their value better, and given the recessive parent is female, you can give yourself a great chance of proving out a super-recessive + z-morph combo within a generation through line breeding.
If the Z-morph were recessive, and the animal female, I'd do the exact opposite for the same reason.

To me it would come down to what the final or goal combination(s) look like like how does the superpastel affect it?
