Re: Manchester Reptile Expo-- I remembered my camera!

yeah the show was nice...but if you're a serious buyer I wouldn' recomend it! I kept going from vendor to vendor trying to compare prices on morphs but you could't see anything! I love kids and all and families but when you're trying to look at stuff from a hobbyest/breeder's perspective...it can be annoying!...you're trying to look at stuff with the intention of finding something to add to your collection and there's a bunch of ppl hovering around the table sayin
"ooh...look at that pretty snake" without havin a clue as to what they're lookin at and you wait and wait cuz you're an actual potential buyer...

I don't really know what to think about shows..I like them but also dislike them...they should be for true hobbyist only
if families want to take their kids to gawk at animals...bring them to the zoo!!!

I think that shows are a great way for children to be exposed to many different types of animals. It does kind of stink when you have to wait to get a look at something you might be looking to add to your collection. I saw a kid leaving with his parents with a new gecko and he was so excited....I don't think i'd trade that off for shorter lines.

I think if you're a serious buyer, you'll be patient.

Plus, my daughter, who is nine, was there, and she had to wait behind big adults who didn't move for her turn to see things. And she will be a serious buyer for sure. She is already a herp girl.

I was there looking for a woma....only 2 places had them and they were adult females. I was also looking at White Lipped Pythons and looking for bismarck ringed pythons(nonthere). Not a bad show, just wish there was some more variety...
here are some of my pics from the show, i really didnt take all that many. although i should have.

White Lipped PYthons that i almost took 1 home.

He was! I wish I could have gotten a shot with his entire body but the angle was wrong.

Re: Manchester Reptile Expo-- I remembered my camera!

Great pics. I really missed a lot of things at the show.

I could only stay for about an hour so I made a quick pass by as many tables as I could before picking up the hondo that I had planned on getting.

Maybe next time I'll actually spend some more time and try to see everything.
