    Exclamation Don't forget the vets!!!!

We are concentrating our efforts on the pet stores regarding the proposed HR 669 Legislation, but we are forgetting the Vets we take our beloved pets to! My vet had no idea about this proposed legislation until I spoke with him yesterday. I will be delivering flyers to all the vets in this area as well so even more people can be made aware of what's trying to be done.
Some people around here have even mentioned picketing the local pet stores to make people aware of what's happening. I'm not sure that's really a good idea though....

I just showed the flier to the vet next door, and the vet techs.. none of them knew about it.

I rest my case. We stand a chance of losing some HUGE support and means of making our case known by not including the very people we rely on the most to take care of our beloved pets. Can you imagine how much of a financial hit our vets will take should this bill pass?

    Re: Don't forget the vets!!!!

My certified avian vet in Charleston knew about it thankfully. I told him the site with links to fliers and he has them printed out hanging on the door and has a stack of them on the reception counter. My herp vet here in town didn't know about it, and was grateful I'd mentioned it. I took over some printed stuff including a copy of H.R. 669 and she's spreading the word as well.

    Re: Don't forget the vets!!!!

I gave them the fliers, and they will hand them out, and further, I asked that they fax the fliers to their other branches. With that idea, I will be getting fax numbers for all the vets I can, and faxing the flier off to them on monday.
