National NO HR 669 call in day - April 20th
From the www.nohr669.com blog @ http://nohr669.com/blog/?p=41
.......................................................
Some friends of ours from then Central Illinois Herpetological Society are organizing a National call-in on April 20th, 2009. On Monday April 20th, we’re asking that everyone take the time to call in once, twice, or however many times you feel comfortable and speak with someone in your Representatives office. Let them know that you are against HR 669 and that you would like your Representatives help in making sure that HR 669 does not make it out of subcommittee on the 23rd. Lets show Washington that we have a United voice!

Re: National NO HR 669 call in day - April 20th
If New York State had a Representative, I'd be all over it. We still don't have a Representative yet and they are saying it's going to be May at the earliest before a winner is declared. Personally, I don't see how a bill can pass when a state doesn't even have an elected official present to represent said state. Could this be a way of tabling the bill until residents of New York can be represented fairly? Maybe we can buy ourselves some more time for lobbying our side of this bill...Just a thought.
Later,
Bri
