    Dilemma with my future Solomon..

Hey all, the pet stores in my area are all out of feeder frogs that i need to feed my Solomon Island ground boa with, for the next month. I have access to anoles but none of them are small enough to feed whole to the little girl I will be getting....

so....for those of you who have been in this situation..

can I cut an anole up and feed my snake smaller portions? Will it give her the nutrients she needs?

I'm trying to problem solve here.

That's all well and good...but what if it doesn't eat anoles? I know mine never did.

Best to have a food source figured out with options in case you have problems.

    Hi,

How well do they tend to do with scenting? Could you buy one feeder frog and try rubbing it on alternative prey?

Is ordering the feeder frogs online and having them shipped to you a possibility?

If you don't have access to any feeder frogs, let me talk to my friend who runs a petstore and see if he can get any, or if he can direct me to where to get some and i'll toss you a pm.

Have you by any chance tried the "tuna juice" scented prey item? I'm am curious to the outcome, so do tell if it illicits a response.

Actually, yeah. If anyone tries this I'd also be interested to hear the outcome. It always seemed bogus to me, but I think if I had bought the animals without knowing where my frogs would come from I would have been frantic and tried everything.

It blows my mind that places don't sell green tree frogs by the bucketful. Every place by me stocks them for pets, most seasonally, some all year.
