    size of prey

I have a BP and he won't eat for me unless I put the prey in his enclosure all night so he can have privacy or whatever reason. My problem is this; I just started him on small rats and I know from experience that a rat will fight back and perhaps start chewing on my snake just because he wants to. How can I get my BP to eat for me when I offer him food?

    Some are just shy eaters.
Or if it's new... It's not used to you yet.

If you don't mind not seeing your snake constrict(Doubt it since that's one of the best parts of owning a snake) you can buy frozen thawed rats and leave it overnight with no worries.

    Re: size of prey

as stated above frozen thawed is an option, or pre-killed, if you go with f/t make sure the rat is completely thawed out before offering to snake
