Daily Show with Jon stewart
Is doing a thing about fox news they had a segment on burmese and how they are breeding like crazy and eat full size deer and doing all kinds of things. They had a lady talking about how they can travel all the way up the east coast or something...bad publicity. not looking good for that proposed ban with this kind of media coverage and unfortunately hurricanes allowed these to get into the wild.

The claim that hurricanes are the cause for the wild population of burmese is bunk...99% of the population is due to "pets" being released into the wild on purpose. Not sure if that bit of misinformation helps or hurts the cause.
And the bit about them traveling as far north as DC and as far west as San Fran......yeeeeah...right. Don't think so.
dang and the hurricane thing actually made a lot of sense to me...and i think this misinformation might help because that takes a little blame off people, so why punish people. no pet snakes for the hurricanes though gosh darn it. and yea like the snakes could actually travel from florida to san fran..even if they could, theyd likely freeze in the midwest.
