    Pastel Question

Hey I've been doing a lot of looking, and there are ALOT of pastel morph's! Blonde, Vanilla, Black, Lemon, normal pastel, cinnamon pastel, and im sure im missing lots. I was wondering though, all of them have a super form right? What are the super forms of the black pastels, lemon pastels, blonde, and vanilla pastels? And if im missing any other please inform me.

    Re: Pastel Question

I think you are a bit confused with the pastels..

Pastels are a basic morph. Lemon Pastels are a type of Pastel... a Line of Pastel.

Black Pastels are a basic morph, unrelated to Pastels.

Cinnamon Pastels are a basic morph, unrelated to Pastels.

Vanilla Pastels are a combo of Vanilla and Pastel.

But yes, all of them have a super form in one way or another.

The Combo Super would be a Super Vanilla Super Pastel.

Versus the Super Pastel, which is a singular Super of the pastel.

    Re: Pastel Question

This can be confusing to newbies. You have to learn the difference between morphs that have the word "pastel" in their name, but aren't the same as the morph "pastel", and lines of pastel, all of which are the same morph but they just came from different breeders.

Black pastel and cinnamon pastel (often just called cinnamon to avoid the confusion) are different morphs. These 2 also happen to be closely related to each other; some people believe they are the same. The super of both of these is a solid dark snake. A super black pastel can often look very close to a pure black. A super cinnamon is more of a dark chocolate or charcoal grey.

Vanilla is also the name of a different morph, but I don't remember it being called vanilla pastel, so I'm not sure about that. It is a morph I'm not very familiar with, so I could easily just not know.

Blonde and lemon pastel are the names of different lines of pastels. There are others as well. Blonde is also called matrix pastel. Graziani and bell pastels are others I have heard of.

Oh of course, I should have realized that. Thanks Heather.

Combos are something I didn't think of. That means you will also see lots of things such as lesser pastel, butter pastel, yellowbelly pastel, etc. These are combos that include the pastel morph as well as at least one other morph.

    Re: Pastel Question

thanks KC, that helped a lot!

So both blonde and lemon are both normal pastels just from a different breeder? They both still just make a super pastel(blondeXblonde, and lemonXlemon)?

Yes, and blondeXlemon will also make a super pastel.

    Re: Pastel Question

    Types of Pastel lines:

    Matrix, Blonde, Lemon, Graziani, Bell....
(Ruppel is a different line that may throw different things)

Super Pastels (Any Pastel Line) all throw bright yellow animals with faded heads and very light patterns.

Cinnamon Pastels and Black Pastels both have Supers that are solid Black/Dark Brown snakes with no pattern.
