Re: Is she ovulating?
That picture just looks more than a a bit disgusting. Also looks like she has a good possibility of regurgitating. WHY would you feed her FOUR medium rats? A medium to me is 100g+ a pop, which equals 400+ grams of food. No Ball Python needs that much food, especially if you're thinking she's about to ovulate or is gravid. You'd kill her. I might feed a 6ft, 10lb boa that much.
Snakes that are overweight have a hard time developing follicles or even ovulating. Most times they just reabsorb the follicles. Definitely slow down on the food intake or she's not going to do anything, or she'll end up regurging and there goes money wasted and a hurting snake.

actually i had said 2 sm and 2 med but was a mistake on my end but when i realized what i had typed it was to late to change. but she ate 2 weans and 2 smalls on the 14th. the weans weighed in at 32 grams and the smalls werent much bigger than the weans 42 max. so were only talkin bout 148 grams here which is a normal med rat.

Re: Is she ovulating?
When a snake ovulates the swelling is in a certain area, when the whole snake is big she is either overfed or obese.
Most snakes wont even look at food when approaching ovulation and probably hasnt eaten in a while. Now there are exceptions but I have never had a snake eat when ovulating for at least a month if not 2.
