    Bottle mishap

So I cleaned the rats today, after I change out all the bedding, I fill food and water. I have a concrete tub rack, which I'm trying to switch to full time, but I still have occasional overflow into my old rat set up. For anyone who hasn't seen it, here is my old rat rack:

It's an old plant stand, that holds nine 54qt tubs, each shelf has a fluorescent light above it. Since I only had three tubs in use at the moment, I had an over abundance of unused water bottles. I decided that it would be nice to have them all full so I could just switch out the empty ones as they emptied throughout the week. I filled seven 200ml water bottles, and five 2L bottles (just 2L pop bottles with a rubber stopper and drinking tube). I set these all ontop of the top fluorescent light of the rack. I continued filling food and whatnot, and then BOOM, one of the 2L bottles hit the floor, the stopper flew out and water gushed everywhere. I was very mad and started to clean it up. Then BOOM, BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM, every single bottle started hitting the floor and I couldn't catch any of them, there was water everywhere. All but two of my 200ml bottles completely shattered (brittle plastic I guess) and all of the stoppers and drinking tubes from the 2L bottles fired in all different directions when they hit the floor and they all are no where to be found. Turns out the top light (which I ALWAYS set stuff on) had tilted forward, allowing all the bottles to slide right off. The only thing I'm glad about is that it happened while I was still in the room, so I could clean it up...

    So ya, today sucked.
