New corn on short notice
I've got a new corn snake from a friend coming tomorrow with no time to properly set up an enclosure, is it safe to keep about a year old corn at room temp for a few days before i can get a heat pad? Will a 10 gallon aquarium be sufficient for a while?
I've already got a thriving BP, so please please don't lecture me on all the proper snake stuff

Depending on where you live, between 70-80 degrees will be fine for a corn snake. They do not need as much accurate warmth as ball pythons do.
So, yes, it should be fine.

and it's only the beginning of march.
These guys live out in the wild where it's likely 50-60 degrees on any given day in march if not colder.

It will be fine. They are alot more forgiving than a BP.

corns are more forgiving I have 2 that re being kept a room temp because I need to build a second rack unit (which i got to gather the funds for the wood). these guys are kept in a 75-82 degree room, and are doing great. just make sure that you can lock ( secure that cage lid ) they get loose easy. i happen to check on mine last night and found one of the corns trying to getinto the asf cage . the little guy stayed inside the tub for since I aquired it until last night.. I am gonig to soften and warp the lid so when it lockeddown it tigt alway around..

Well I know of a kingsnake thats been frozen in his water bowl a few times and he is fine. The guy that owns him is a farmer and he keeps the tank in his barn because his wife doesn't want it in the house.
