    Eye Caps During Shedding

Hey Guys I hope all is well....

Just a quick FYI my ball py has resumed eating and is doing well. He now eats live which in my opinion is somewhat better cause I can come home with his meal and he can eat instead of waiting for the thaw process. So thanks for all of you that were there for me when I was freaking out because he wouldn't eat frozen thawed.

Now I have one thing about him that I have recently noticed and I don't think its good for him. He is not in shed and that I know of he is not showing any signs that he is gonna shed just yet. I think from his last shed that he retained his eye caps and now both eyes looks cracked and looks like he still has his eye caps. How can I help him or do I just let him shed again and he can take it off himself? Any comments would be great...

    Thank you

My normal's eyes have been wrinkled ever since I adopted him; even after a perfect shed they're still wrinkled. I'm not worried about it because he still eats, so did you check the shed to see if the eye caps came off?

His last shed was bad and I had to assist him taking the rest of it off. I thought I had taken both caps off so I don't know why his eyes look like that.

As long as his eyes look clear and bright besides the 'cracks' the eyecaps are probably off, but check his shed when it comes off to see if they're on there.

If he's had retained eyecaps before the eyes may have been permanently (but I supposed not seriously, he should be ok) damaged. They may always looked cracked, but at least he isn't blind.
