When you've got 10,000 people trying to do the same thing, why would you want to be number 10,001? ~ Mark Cuban "for the discerning collector"

Re: What would you try
I think you have somethimg other than a black back. He has Het Red markers on him. Check the identification guide on the site here. This is just my opinion though. I can't really tell from the pics, I just see the outlining of the alien heads and the flames.
I found the link to the guide.....http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=45855

Yea he's got tons of the 'squiggles' but my picture taking skills arent best especially with one who won't sit still for anything I actually havent seen any breeder sized het reds out there but I also wanted to use a morph that I would be able to tell if -his- looks passed or not.. If I bred him to a het red....and no Red Axans were made how would I tell any of the babies apart cause they might all be blackbacks, in which I probably couldnt tell if they got it from the mom or the dad.

Re: What would you try
I just hatched two clutches full of het reds, and that is without a doubt a het red. Like others said get a het red female and make some red axanthics. Did you pay for a normal?

No, I got him as a LTC Import from J&J he hasn't been bred before, thats why I'm not really wanting to breed him into a morph that already looks like him, like I said.....say I bred him to a het red but made no Reds..then what? I have a clutch of babies I possibly couldn't identify one line from the other...

Than you need two girls. One very pretty normal and then get a breeder het red. Than you'll be able to see in the first year if he really is a het red, and also you get babies that you can tell who the sire/dam is. Breeder normals are pretty easy to come by.... ... thats what I'd do at least.
