    90 gallon pyxie tank

I wanted to share another video of the girls chowing down on some rodent. They both recently just moved into their new 90 gallon tank, and they are loving it.

    YouTube - African bullfrogs

This is a link to the new set up. They love having all the room to explore. Hulk spends most of her time in the shallow water and Borchmore likes to just float at the top.

I didn't want to posting everything again, so here's the link.

    Yes.

Sorry for the bad links, here it is.

Well, I got some more done and finally got a pair into the tank a few days ago. They have been doing great together, no problems what-so-ever.

I still have to finish the background, ut other than that and some plants, it's pretty much finished for now. A water/rain feature will be adde later. I was given a new filter by a friend of mine and it is VERY nice. Never seen one this quiet. I literally can not hear it no matter how close I get to it. (Duetto-Marineland)

Anyhow, I added river rocks to the bottom of the tank, some cut bricks for supporting a marble corner shelf for them to get in and out of the water on. It seems to be their favorite hangout spot thus far. Borchmore really loves the water. HULK not so much th deeper parts yet, but Borch spends alot of her time just out there floating around or sitting under the corner shelf. I also used a large flat rock on the landside just out of the water to try and help reduce some of the coco that will be dragged into the water when they go in.

Here's a few pics of them enjoying their new digs.

    Borchmore in the deep end.

    HULK watching from the shallow.

    I guess HULK's pretty comfortable.

If you watch the video, it appears the mouse is killed/suffocated by the frog before she consumes it?

Yes, that is how it is usually done. Sometimes they don't get it by the head though and swalllow it from the side or the rear, but their jaws are pretty powerful. Smaller pinkys or fuzzies are swallowed whole in one gulp.

1.0 pastel phet ghost ball (Mick Jagger)
    0.1 norm ball (Mrs. Lovett)

    Re: 90 gallon pyxie tank

I wouldn't suggest multiples with pacmans, nor pyxies as froglets. If there is the slightest difference in size, the smaller will be food in the end, or worse, both dead from one suffocating while trying to eat the other.
