    Anyone Used This Product?

Well I am building a Bp rack about 5ft wide 3ft high 4ft deep. Anyway has anyone used this product? http://www.bigappleherp.com/BAH-1000...=2&category=15

Can you only move the control to the #'s shown on the T-stat? Or can you move it anywhere to get to any degree's ex: 81 degree?

    Thanks,

    Daniel

Does not support much wattage, un-reliable, allows fluctuation ….

Bottom line save your money and invest in something better Johnson or Ranco on the low end or Herpstat or Helix on the high end.

I don't think it's a bad thermostat and it's not unreliable IMO. I have one, I haven't used it yet. I did have the older model. I've since upgraded to a herpstat for that snake.

Could you give me a link to the best Johnson and Ranco to buy?

Don't all on/off types allow fluctuation?

I honestly don't see the problem using this thermostat. It supports 800 watts I think.

I've heard both good and bad about helix thermostats.

    I recommend Spyder Robotics Herpstat.

Proportional thermostats are the way to go, not any particular brand, I think.

I think most people who use rack systems place the probe on the flexwatt, somewhere near the middle of the rack.
