    Whoa boy.. eggs.. for me..!

I started pairing Ginger, my largest female, to my Spider last November, before I knew that we would be moving I did a few pairings on and off, saw no locks.. figured, nothing. What do you think she does last night? She laid 8 beautiful eggs for me.

I was pretty flustered at first.. we planned on moving in the beginning of August. We are going to push it out a bit more now, since these eggs mean a lot to me, and I know that we can't drive cross-country with them! I was thinking though.. at what point do you think it Would be ok to drive cross-country with eggs? (there is no point, I am thinking.. they're too fragile, the snakes too delicate, etc.) As in..let's say it is day 55. The snakes are, basically, fully-formed and just waiting to come out of the egg. Would you drive off with them securely in your vehicle (as in,in your lap, or secured in the vehicle) Or would you wait until they were fully out of their eggs on their own volition?

I am pretty loony about this now. I honestly did not think that Ginger's breeding, took. I had given up on the egg possibility.. now, this. It's an anticipated breeding for me,since I used the samefather-spider who gave me that light Spider boy last year. I was even thinking of selling the eggs to someone local.. but I can't even imagine how to do that, since they are snugly in the incubator now,and moving them seems deadly at this point.. I managed to get the incubator fired-upin a 12 hour period overnight, had left the eggs with Mom,and placed them into it this morning. I did not want to give them away (no one local with facilities, etc. that I trust..) and selling them seems, well, wrong; not knowing if they're morphs or normals; healthy or not..

Have you ever had some event, come up, or a similar breeding situation?

Re: Whoa boy.. eggs.. for me..!

NERD brought some eggs all the way from NH to Florida for the Daytona show two years ago...we got to see them hatching! It was way cool! Maybe Kara can offer some advice on when it's safe and how to safely transport them.

Whatever you do, I wish you all the best luck with them!
