    Need some Photoshop/Illustrator assistance

So...I need to take my logo and increase the size so it fits on 8.5 x 11 photo paper. The designer said the one he sent me is a vector graphic and scalable without pixelation. Well, when I scale it up to fit, it shows in illustrator or photoshop w/ pixelation and prints out just as poorly. Any assistance by would be really appreciated.

If it is indeed vector, you can do scale easily.

Open it, select the layer with the logo. Go to the Edit menu, select "transform" and select "scale".

Then to keep it the same porportions, hold down the shift key, and drag the logo bigger or smaller.

    Easy as pie!

That's what I thought Connie. I was doing it exactly like that. It is distorting at the size I need it. I suck at this stuff!

Under the layer menu, does the 'Rasterize' option show as greyed out, or is it selectable?

I'm not all PS savvy, so I'm just throwing out ideas.

What's the extension of the file?

If it's JPG, then it's rasterized and will pixelate in Photoshop OR Illustrator.

If it's EPS or AI, then you're in good shape.

Jake, let me know if you have any troubles. I have PS and AI CS4 and those two apps work together quite lovely

Thanks all! Jake is fixing it up for me. He said it's a vector and he is scaling it for me. Not sure what I did wrong but needless to say that anything creative is not my forte.
