    Tub heating question

I just bought a 41qt tub that I plan to move my ball python in. I'm finally switching from a tank. I am going to buy a helix thermostat to control the ultratherm heat pad. My question is will one 11x11 heat pad be enough? Or should I buy a second one for the cool side? The room i keep my snake in is usually around 68oF

    Re: Tub heating question

if it were me i would hold off on buy the 2nd pad the heat from the first pad can move to the cool side, get yourself a temp gun and once it is up and running then check the cool side and go from there

    Re: Tub heating question

Unfortuantely we can't tell you if you'll need one or not. Thats something you'll have to find out for yourself. It all depends on the enviroment your tub is in. If you're in a place that has a much cooler temp than what the cool side temp is supposed to be, then yes, you will probably need one, or if the temp varies a lot(for instance if you have central air in your house and it turns on in the evening when everyone is home from work and is off during the day) then yes you will probably need one.

From my experience, I really need one. My air conditing is set to around 75 and it brings my coolside temp down too far.
