Pinstripe question...

I love the pinstripes, and I'm excited about my first one arriving next week. I am wondering though... when pairing them with a normal female, do her looks affect the coloring at all? They all seem to be about the same color from what I've seen.

For instance, if I paired him up with a nice high yellow normal, would they come out looking more yellow?

Some would say that the coloring of the normal could affect it, but more than likely the outcome will be random chance and they are just generally a darker morph. If you were to breed it to another morph like a pastel female, the lemon blast (pastel x pin) definitely is lightened up.

Ok, thanks! I would like to get him a female pastel to breed him to at a some point, but was curious how he'd do against normals of various looks. I guess this means I won't have to be so picky about mates, lol.

I think being selective about your breeding pairs is a good idea. Lots of the morphs have variation but selective breeding is one of the only things we can do to try and control the type of offspring we produce.

Starting off with quality examples of the morphs you wish to produce and pairing them with females you think will help you achieve that "look" is a smart habit to get into.

Look at user name Albey and his threads and you will see how beneficial selective breeding can be.
