Re: Night Time Shooting
I hate when little emo kids take pictures of something and put it in B and W or whatever and call themselves photographers.
Simple shots like those are what it's all about
Great shots Patrick!

Re: Night Time Shooting
Ed, believe it or not, I shoot all my nightime at iso 100....yup thats right! LOL
I really dont like the grainyness that anything above ISO200 gives you.
I shot those all at F2.8...I know its wide open, but that lets in every bit of light that I can get.

Re: Night Time Shooting
That would be an oil barrack off the coast. I thought it gave a nice balance to have it smack dab in the middle.

I agree about the grainyness.
I imagine you used a tripiod. What was your exposure time?
What type of camera & lens setup are you using?

Re: Night Time Shooting
Yeah it was a tripod for sure...exposure time I think was one was 25 and the other was 15. The lights on the pier forced me to reduce shutter time.
As far as Camera and lens
Just a Rebel XT and a Sigma 50mm f2.8 DG Macro Lens.
I am drooling over over the Canon 55-250mm.
I need some reach damnit! LOL
