I think they need to stop beating around the bush and get down.

Just kill the whalers. Sure they'll never be allowed on UN soil again, but damned if they won't scare the remaining whaling fleets.

    Re: Whale wars

after reading the other posts in the thread posted i have a little more to say about it

some people said that what they are doing is crazy and that their being pirates by boarding the japanese ship and that is true. by throwing the floury bomb things and stink bombs, no.
Like paul has said about green peace, what they do doesnt do squat to stop the whaling. by tainting the meat with the acid it stops them from making a profit by selling the whale meat. so even if they kill a whale it will be for nothing.

as far as putting their lives at stake 2nd mate...forgot his name has said 1 or 2 times that in the application it asks if your willing to risk your life for a whale. It is up to the individual to decide to risk their life for a whale.I think that a human life is more important than any animals but hey if they want to die for a whale, thats their choice. Paul does make some bad decisions, by going into the ice and risking the boat and 30+ lives was irresponsible and stupid.

The show is good in 2 ways, media and physically stopping the japanese whalers

    Re: Whale wars

I really like the show... its amazing. But I seen some of their decision are really poor and putting the crew safely at risk. Paul, the captain, he does have lots of guts but goes over the line once in while. Peter Brown, man what a fool! First, he nearly killed few of the crew people by not holding the line right and cause a small boat to flip over. Second, he thinks the ice isn't big deal, blah blah then later in the show, he gets dramatic about ice can sink the boat. He thinks he knows it all by not trusting the maps, and other electronic stuff that are vital to the ship safety and depends on his own eyes through the window. It just unbelievable how he deal with things. If you watch this person closely you will hopefully understand why I feel about him, I won't not even put my toe on that boat with him on the board because I feel he is a threat to my safety.

Sorry about my rant. Anyway... they do really help the whales but it just plain stupid to put their lives on the line just to save few whales. In my opinion, people come first. Just my 2 cents.

    Re: Whale wars

i like that idea just get rid of them and there isnt a problem anymore

if i was the one in the zodiac that flipped i would "accidentally" bump peter brown sending him over board, he needs to learn how to be on the boat or just get off, I also love how he tells everyone how to launch the boats but yet he cant launch one himself, then he opposes the checklist thats made for launching them!

Check out a film called sharkwater. If you like whalewars you will love the film. Paul is in the film. Its very upsetting though watching them kill sharks for nothing
