    Fetus - Graphic Images

Akina (normal female) laid 6 eggs on May 4th. So far, there are only two surviving babies. The most recent bad egg was cut away from the remaining two and I pulled out the fetus. The fetus weighed 8g.

I found the head to be very interesting. It had eyes and its mouth was able to open. The compressed look might be because it was sitting in the egg dead for a while.

    Sorry for the bad luck.
Thanks for posting this as I no longer feel the need to cut open a bad egg in the future. So haw far along is May 4th to now in ball incubation?

My condolences on your loss, but thanks for posting pictures. I am always torn when I see photos like these. I feel badly for the animals that don't make it, but always find the pictures interesting; they give us insight to snake development.

    Sorry and thanks again.
