Re: reabsorbed follicles
I wouldn't count her out just yet...
It is really hard to feel eggs between OV and POS. She may also have slugs in her, those are VERY hard to feel until just a week or two before laying.
I think those are more likely explanations. I've never heard of a female reabsorbing after building to the point shown in pic two.

Re: reabsorbed follicles
I agree dont count her out yet. I felt the samething my first clutch. After ovulation you can not feel the follicles anymore. Once they ovulate and the follicles move into the body cavity where they will remain till laid, the animal appears smaller at first. It is the moving of the follicles that cause the swelling durring ovulation. Give it a few weeks and check her then. If she just ovulated then you can expect a pre lay shed in a few weeks and that will clarify that she is gravid. If her last shed was a prelay shed then you will notice her getting larger as the weeks go by.

She hasnt ovulated yet. She just went into what I assume to be pre ovulation shed.
Oh and when I went to clean her tub of the shed and scrub everything down, I saw that there was blood on the papertowels. Nothing crazy, but enough to worry a lil'. I looked at the shed and it looks as the the blood came from her vent. Is there something wrong with her? Please help, THANK YOU!

Re: reabsorbed follicles
I've always heard that a lot of bp's will leave a little blood at the vent when they shed. As far as I know, it's pretty common.

Re: reabsorbed follicles
I think pic two is actually her at some point of ovulation. If I read it right that was about 10 days ago? She is now going into shed or recently shed. That would put about two weeks between your build pic and shed which is right on target for being gravid. If that is all correct mark your calender for her to lay 30 days from her shed.
After ovulation they will go back down to size and like Justin said it is very hard to feel anything at that time. You should notice her getting bigger again over a wide area in a couple of weeks.
If I misread your post and am wrong, break it down a little better for us, but I would say gravid.

Also your now pic it looks like her spine is pronounced somewhat and that happens to gravid females.

Re: reabsorbed follicles
You know, I had a similar thing happen this year. One of my girls was doing everything text book, until the glow. She glowed VERY brightly and was doing all of the signs as well, but I never saw ovulation come. Then she stopped glowing and the building seemed to be gone. She looked larger than she normally does, but nothing like she was full of eggs.
Anyways, I waited it out, and what do you know, she laid 6 eggs for me this week! I thought that if she did lay it would be all eggs, or that like you she may have absorbed.
Anyways, I agree, don't give up hope yet. They can trick you sometimes.
