Thanks so much for the great advice. Luke won't be looking for his Dobie for many years to come but early and extensive education on the breed is a must. He's just turning 18 and looking at a career in the U.S. Army so it may well be a number of years before he is stationed anywhere that would allow him the stability to add one of these wonderful dogs to his life.
