I see Hairless and dumbo rats at pet shop with outrageous price tags attached. Under the "they wouldn't have them if they couldn't sell them" mentality, is it worth considering swapping out my normal rats and trading up to these in hopes to offer these off for sale and use the cash to help cover food and bedding costs?
I feed mostly guinea pigs and rabbits. I only have 4 boas that will even benefit from feeding a small rat to.
Sitting on over 100 pink/hopper rats and 20 asf's right now that are on the verge of going in the freezer to stock up for hopefully a productive year. I figure another 2 months of full production and I can stop and freeze off the adults I currently have without any real loss, or I can let them breed and raise the young to a larger level.
