    Excessive Soaking

Why would my BP soak excessively? It's not mites or shedding issues.

What are the temps in the tank/tub? A good rise in overall room temp will also cause them to soak. Of course some snakes just like water.

check your set up, look for mites, but understand that some snakes just like to sit in the water...

    Re: Excessive Soaking

No mites or shedding issues. My temps are steady at low 80's on the cool side and low 90's on basking side. He eats well and is very active. I just think that my BP is weird. He's suppesed to be a ground dwelling animal but he loves to hang in the branches in his enclosure and just chill. As long as there are no health issues to worry about I can handle him being a little eccentric. LOL

    Re: Excessive Soaking

I've heard that some snakes like the water. There have been quite a few pictures floating around here of snakes taking a soak for no reason, just to soak.

    Re: Excessive Soaking

You started another post about mites. More than likely this snake has mites also
