I recently switched my bp to rat pups, and she refuses to eat them, before she was a great eater. she ate this first one i offered her (3 weeks ago), but very reluctantly. and she hasn't eaten since, what should i do, should i go back to mice?

    Re: Not eating rats

Wow I guess im not the only one. Spencer wont eat rats either. I bought a bunch of Rat pups from Rodent Pro and when I gave him one he turned his nose up and wont eat it. I tried again and he STILL wont eat any. So I had to order him adult mice and he eats them no problem at all. I wonder how to switch him to rats? He is so ready for rats. I feed mine 2 mice per feeding

Well once you feed your snake something try not to switch they seem to get stress or confused....try to stick to mice....

if your ball python is a baby feed it fuzzy...
if its a juvenile feed it 1 mice per week...
if its a sub adult (2-3 ft.) feed it 2 mice per week...
if its an adult (3-4 ft.) feed it 4 mice every 2 weeks...

    Re: Not eating rats

Some snakes don't switch over to rats as easily as others. Are you feeding live or f/t?
