It depends on many things. You can get a possibly mixed, puppy mill type pup from some backyard breeder for $100.
You can pay more and get a healthy purebred dog from a good line for a lot more.
Remember, quality is more important when you'll have this animal for ten years or more. Poor skin, bad eyes, bad hips, poor temperments, etc can all be issues with chowchows. Take the time to find a good breeder.

Like everyone else said contact a reputable good breeder, a good way to find one is through breed clubs and the akc website. I am sure you could find them out there cheap but again the quality comes into play. You can also look on Petfinder.com to view rescued Chows in shelter/rescues in your area.
