No HR 669 at the Dixie Reptile Show
Well I had a rough start and missed out on a lot of the fun, because I had a sick child at home. (poor thing is still running a fever) I did make it for half of the show and dinner though, so I'm grateful for the time I was able to spend with some awesome friends!
First off a big thank you to Terry Heuring for allowing us to set up and help get the word out. We came across a lot of people who had not even heard about HR 669, so I'm excited we may have lit fires under a lot more supporters of our cause. I'm not exactly sure how many letters we were able to get mailed out, but it was a lot!!! My fingers got so cramped it hurt to hold the pen, so I took to talking and handing out flyers. Of course, then I talked so much that my throat hurt so I went back to addressing envelopes again. I'm pretty sure we were all in pain with tingling, cramped fingers that were throbbing from all the paper cuts. It was exhausting, and our group was awesome in their dedication!
Thanks again for all the work you guys did! I'm glad to have been a small part of it.
Here's our table and our activists at work!
This pic is just for Shaun.
These weren't even all of the letters we did! We had another whole box to add to this! (unfortunately I had to go home to my kid, so I didn't get THAT pic)

Re: No HR 669 at the Dixie Reptile Show
What a great weekend, and what awesome folks we had that dug their heels in and worked to make our campaign a success! Even though this was the most tiring thing I think we've all done (you don't realize just how long it takes to address over 1000 envelopes - by HAND!), it was also one of the most rewarding things we've done!
Tim will be shipping all these out tomorrow morning - thank you Tim! When Judy gets home, she'll have some pictures of "the end" of all of our efforts and show you just how much Tim has to ship out!

Wow, what a fun and rewarding time, we had a blast. We got home about 3 pm, but really didn't want to leave Birmingham, we always have a great time. There was so much support for us at the show it was really awesome, the packets were signed in no time with more people coming to ask us if we had more to sign, so we started handing out flyers at that time, hopefully the nohr669 emails are building up from those flyers being passed out. Thanks again to Tim for taking the time and spending the money to get these letters on their way to Tom Wolfe and show these representatives just what we think of Hr669!
