    Pastel or not?

Hey I'm getting a red-tail soon. Haven't found out yet what type of red-tail it is (country of origin) and I haven't seen it in person yet but the lady selling it says it's a pastel boa. Pictures aren't the clearest but i'm not really sure what to look for or if it is what she says it is. Any help? Thanks!

Anerythristic (anery) boa's lack erythrin, which is red pigment to their tail, scales etc. Giving them a silver, gray and black overall coloration. I'm not real knowledge about boa morphs, but that's sums it up. I hope.
    .
And the boa doesn't look like an Anery to me. Just a common Colombian BCI.

    Re: Pastel or not?

Cool thanks. Does anyone know the characteristics of a pastel boa and what sets them apart from BCC's or BCI's?

Unless you bought it as a pastel it isn't a pastel. Pastels are a certain line bred lineage that's been bred for years for cleanliness and lightness.
