    Unhappy :( help.. escape

Just got back from 2 week vacation in peru to find out that my pet sitter forgot to close the snake cage, and my 08 girl is gone

On top of like 3 other bad things happening to people i care about since I left, this is like the worst day ever.

I'm hoping the snake is still in the apartment, I can't see any way for her to leave the apartment unless she flushes herself down the toilet. Any advice? I'm going to try looking everywhere, picking up as much off the floor as I can, leaving her two hides out, and thawing out a rat to leave by one of the hides this evening.

Do you know how long the cage has been open for?

Just so you know, they don't go very far usually. Check tight, dark, and warm spaces.

Sit and watch -be the snake-.

    Re: :( help.. escape

Mine got out a week ago today, every morning I would look under everything even upstairs and in the bedrooms thinking he just might have got under the door. When I would get home from work I tore the entire house apart looking for him but to no avail. Saturday evening I was watching the hockey game and got up to grab a beer from the fridge and there he was right in the middle of the kitchen floor. Keep your eyes peeled later at night when BP's become active. My little guy starts to cruise around his tank between 9-10pm so I keept my eyes open after 9 every night and it was after 9 on Sat when I found him.

Best of luck and keep us posted.

is baiting with a food item a good idea? I might even get a live rat/mouse tomorrow to leave in a tupperware with hole punctures for scenting.

Check under and behind your refridgerator. It is a notorious hiding spot for escapees.

Mine was in my dresser drawer, the first time. And the second he was in a different dresser, behind some drawers. Hopefully I have taken care of the problem. good luck with yours!!
