    What a relief!!

My female mojave has been on the lamb in my basement for a couple weeks now. I just found her and man she is cold! I rinsed her off with lukewarm water and got her into her tub. When I looked her over I noticed 4 or 5 small burns on her belly - probably from being underneath the water heater or washer/dryer.

I'm going to leave her tonight to warm up. Tomorrow I'm going to put her on paper towels and get some Neosporin on her belly.

I will see if I can get her to the vet tomorrow or Thursday. Anyone have any other suggestions? I did up the humidity for her.

    Thanks!

I'm glad you found her, I wish I could offer you advise as far as treating her, but I wouldn't want to propose anything i'm not sure about myself. I'm sure she will be fine though, just monitor her and let her warm up, and hopefully her wounds will all heal completely.

Sounds like you are on the right track! Hopefully the burns aren't too serious and will clear up with the next shed.

    Re: What a relief!!

The vet took a closer look at the burns and said they were not very deep, so she should heal up pretty quick. So she will be on paper towels for awhile. He did give her a shot of baydril to be on the safe side and I'll keep an eye out for RI.

I feel quarter sized follicles in her so it will be interesting to see if she does develop more or if the cold basement hurt her.
