    Help with smell removal *urgent!*

Hello all. When I went back home for three days, one of my bps decided to leave me a really, really smelly present in my Boaphile rack. I put them in a different drawer while I cleaned and the other did the same thing the next day. I can NOT get the smell out! It isn't just a light smell, it is really in there. I tried a light bleach solution, and It didn't help much. I can only get it to smell like bleach or nasty poop. I want to separate my male and female to feed them, and I can't do that until they have an acceptable living space! So please, if anyone has any remedies for this, let me know. The bin isn't the problem, it is the rack itself. I hope to god one of you can help me!

That's weird, I've had some pretty heinous gifts myself but nothing that lingered for more than a couple of minutes after a good cleaning. If bleach didn't do the job I don't know what will. When you rinse the bleach it smells like poop again?

That's really odd. I'm not familiar with the rack, but if it's nonporous you should be able to clean it so it doesn't smell. If it is porous you will never get the smell out. This is a tricky one. Keep us posted.

Sounds like your missing some poo some where in the rack..Check all the hides and the top of the rack to make sure no finger painting took place.

i found poo stuck to the top of a hide. my best bet was it took one in it and then it stuck to the snake and got packed in the top.

    check everywhere you'll be surprised.

One of mine is a fingerpainter, but this is without the tub even in the rack. ....so I have no clue. I keep trying and trying, with very little progress. I don't know what to do.

Did you clean the "ceiling" which would be part of the rack? Try using some vinegar solution to wipe it all down.
If that fails, you can set some baking soda in the bin, and slide it shut to sit overnight, and see if that helps.

Yea, Ive been cleaning the whole sha-bang. I mixed up some new bleach solution making it a tad bit stronger and it did the job. If it didn't, I was really considering that baking soda idea!

    Phew!
