    Finally Bit!

Yesterday was feeding day and as usual I went to the reptile store to get a baby rat. When I came home, I opened up the bag and let Luther "smell" his rat with a few tounge flicks (first stupid thing). Then I put him in his feeding tub and then dumped the rat in. The rat's head was not facing toward him and I have found that if he gets the rats head in his mouth during the strike he will eat it faster, so I put my hand back into the tub like a retard (second stupid thing) to fix the rat. And of course I get bit It was startling but didnt really hurt. So then I just left him alone to eat his rat while I got the camera to take a pic (cuz i knew u would want to see it) and everyone lived happily ever after!
I am happy I finally got bit for the 1st time and here is the pic:

    He got me good

    Re: Finally Bit!

i usly get bit when i remove the prey item from the tub if they don't eat it within 20 mintues (by then the prey either dead from a brain injury (stunning) or still dazed and gets offered to the next snake in line. I found it simple to only pull one out at a time wiuth the pickie eaters. (het pied male ) since the breeding mode going.

My bp grabs their face and then starts to eat their butt. Gets its halfway in, gives up and goes for the head. EVERY time.
