So yeah I decided to go all out for my first Boa...

Got to talking to Jimisnakes about how I loved bright sunglows so much and he suggested I hit up Basically Boas for one. Well I talked myself into this stunning 08 girl. 1/8 Suriname Kahl Sunglow. I am in love.

Mike, from Basically Boas, was nice enough to do a payment plan so I don't get smacked for it all at once and it gives me time to finish the rack that is going in the spare room downstairs.

I also can't say enough good things about Jimi putting up with all my emails and definitely will be picking up a male to pair to this girlie from him. Not sure exactly what yet... I'm not sure if I want to get an Anery for snow hets or something else... I'm not sold on the whole snow thing yet and I keep hearing horror stories about health issues... Oh well I am just so happy I snagged this beauty.

Very nice! I'm thinking about getting a Boa at the Super Show in San Diego, and I would like to get something nice like that

    Congrats on the purchase.

Financing a snake though? People wonder why the economy is down.

That's one nice looking Sunglow Scott! I'm glad I could help ya out. Mike is a great guy to do business with too. I've purchased more snakes off him than I can count, lol. Never once was I dissatisfied.

Re: So yeah I decided to go all out for my first Boa...

Yeah thanks again so much Jimi, I need to buy an 09 male from you now to pair up with this girl when she's big enough. Need to figure out what exactly I want as far as the male goes lol. And thanks everyone else for the positive responses.

As for the rack, I'll have her out enough and at this point my wife and I don't really entertain much lol. Plus I don't feel like spening $hundreds on a viv right now. 41 qts will hold her fine for awhile at least. I'll need a cage at some point when she gets big and when that time comes that's what she'll get. Probably something from AP or I'll just build one.

And as for financing, with 0% interest for 2 months it allows me time to finish the rack and not get hit all at once for it. I wasn't planning on getting a boa this quick so I still need to actually put the melamine together and finish off the room. 0% isn't actually financing lol.

I will get more pictures of her when she gets in at the end of May/early June. She's paid off on 24 May so after that its as soon as Mike gets her shipped out.
