heating my rack?
I just got my rack from reptile basics and i decided to pay more for the belly heat but the top tub close to where the heat tape is is only about 80 and the middle tub is about 84 and i have my thermostat heating the heat tape to 105 but my tubs just isnt heating up to what they need to be. Any suggestions please

Re: heating my rack?
Which level is the probe on? You should just keep turning up the thermostat until you get a hot spot of 90*-94* inside the tub.

I am no expert, but I am pretty sure you should put the probe on the middle shelf. Are you sure the probe is secured to the heat tape?

Re: heating my rack?
yeah i have the thermostat prop secured to the heat tape good with aluminum tape cause i figured it may let a lil bit of heat travel through it. I turned my thermostat up to 113 and my top tub is now 83.5 an the rest of the tubs is about 1.5 to 2 warmer cause the way the heat tape is through the rack.

Re: heating my rack?
I had a similar problem when i put the probe on the top shelf on my RBI rack. Try moving the probe two rows down and that should even out the temps for you
