Re: Nutria
From what I know they are likely anal glands. Any reason you want to be messing with stinky anal glands on what is basically a large and likely very unhappy rat/beaver-like critter?
Couldn't find anything on emptying anal glands of Nutria but here's how you do it on a dog (and I've had to do it and it's freakin gawd awful let me tell you!) *gag*

Re: Nutria
Ahhh gotcha. Well I once trapped, skinned and ate a beaver so who am I to talk, right LOL.
I did see a show where this old guy made Nutria. Didn't really look to bad. Let me see if I can google you up any info. Should be basically the same as skinning a beaver I would think.
