    Question heating system

I am new to the site. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I have a normal ball python and i want to get more. I am planning on getting a small rack. Any suggestions on that. And i am wanting to get a heating system for it like ranco or anything simmilar. Any suggestions on how they work, what i need, and possible price ranges.

    Hi Kyle,
I moved your thread to the appropiate forum. There are many different types of racks. The ranco is a thermostat that controls a heating element.

    Try this site http://www.reptilebasics.com/

They have lots of cool stuff.

Thanks. So something like ranco just controls and maintains the temp? What would be the best thing to use to heat say an 6 tier rack. And what would b good for humidity?

A ranco is a thermostat, so yeah it just controls the temp. To heat a rack, most people use flexwatt. Tubs maintain humidity very well on their own.

Some racks use heat rope other use flexxwatt heat tape. I have Freedom Breeder, Animal plastics and Vision racks. The nice thing about the visions is you can change the size of tubs per level, most other racks are one tub size per rack/\.
