    hides?

I need a new hide and was wondering if any of you make your own hides? if so please tell me what you do and give some input. My ideas are to find a black platic box. Im trying to figure out if fully dried and aired out spray paint would be harmful? On a certain level i can see it being, but Im just wondering what your imput is on this. Im not going too so dont worrie. Im trying to find a black plastic box, somthing that can hold and absorb heat well. Im not going to be doing anything just yet until i have enough information. Thanks

You can get plastic bowls from the $ store and cut a small opening.
    Check out what's available at

    Re: hides?

Another trick I learned from a breeder(now this will probably only work for so long but it's perfect right now!) is to find the dog water bowls that are hollow underneath. I think ours cost us $2. Cut an entrance to the underneath and it creates a pretty snug space as well as serving as a water bowl. That's where our BP spends most of her time except after she's eaten. The she goes into the hide we made out of a plastic flower pot bought at the dollar store.
