    Can two males lock up?

Trying to give my brothers coworker some advice... Not the easiest thing to do because he is over 1200 miles away!

He has two BP's. He was told they are both males. He was keeping them together (has since seperated them) and he observed them locked up a couple times. I know this says they are most likely a male and a female.... but it does bring up the question.

Is it possable that when one male is trying to dominate another that they will actually lock up? What about two girls?

Re: Can two males lock up?

I have had 2 males lock up. I had sexed one as a female. I have since had 4 breeder friends i know sex him he is definitely male. I have pictures of the tail lock. It definitely locks lagit. I actually had several people look at the pictures and they were sure it was a tail lock until they sexed the same "female".

I have heard of a dominant male locking up on another male. Never seen it myself; I usually use two males and a female to stimulate virgin males but the mature male always locks on the female.
I'd recommend LLLreptile for a set of probes..... maybe he's got a pair

    Yes

I put a male with what I though was a female and they locked, turned out that “female” was really a male.
