Its time to clean his cage, but...

Ive got one hardcore chest cold. should i forgo handling him or his stuff? or am i ok as long as i have clean hands and am not hacking in his face?

i also have a sweater sized tub setup already (before i was sick) with a 8w UTH on it. should i just wash my hands transfer him there since its clean and wait until im feeling better? or is it alright even thought im hacking up a lung? its not an issue of i dont feel up to it im fine other wise im just worried about cross contamination or something of that sort.

Human illnesses can't be passed onto reptiles so you have nothing to worry about. I don't like smelling snake poop when I'm sick or inhaling the slight dust from the substrate when it gets moved around. That would be my only concern so if you have someone who can help you out with maintenance this time, I would opt out of cleaning for once

thats what i figured, but i wanted to be safe. givien the degree of sickness im experiencing it would be horrid if it were possible to pass it on.

i cant smell anything so i can clean it my self the girlfriend took one look at his nice adult mouse sized dukie and said oh no you're cleaning that one! thanks allot for the input.

Jeff, you'll be just fine if you handle him as little as possible while you do the enclosure maintenance. Can you set him in the tub while you clean, then transfer back to the regular enclosure?

that was the idea. the reason why i bought the tub last week.
