    How do you feed?

Just curious as to how the majority of BP owners feed their snakes. Neither rat nor mouse matters, just the way you serve it.

    Re: How do you feed?

Gonna start a colony in the very near future (as in probably start trying to make babies tomorrow). Just fed Oakley and Hissy about 20 minutes ago actually.

Used to feed F/T until I reach 10 snakes than I started feeding live.

Isn't it usually the other way around?

Good luck. I have ASF's. In January I had about 30 now I have over 100.

I find it very rewarding to do my own feeders.

I see no reason to not feed live if possible, there is nothing wrong with f/t or p/k I just prefer live.

    Re: How do you feed?

Mine have no feeding response to f/t and Oakley turns ferocious when I throw a mouse in with him. The thing is gone within a few seconds to a few minutes. I have dropped it in, turned around, and when I turned back around it was gone. We have only fed live 4 times because we couldn't have a colony but it will hopefully be a bit cheaper and we can make a little money off them.

For a few snakes it was convenient and cost effective, but with a growing collection it started to be a hassle plus I also started to breed my own feeder too which explain the transition (which not only is cost effective but also allow me to provide high quality food)

I just could not see myself feeding F/T to 40+ snakes.
