Has anybody here read this book? I've heard about it for years, but I didn't read it until yesterday.... it's an interesting book, and it mainly focuses on building naturalistic vivariums and using bioactive substrate (i.e. "Good" bacteria) to help keep the system healthy. The author's main point seems to be against bland, uninteresting setups (that probably most of us use) except in certain situations (breeders or other people who have to care for huge numbers of snakes, etc.)
Anybody here have a naturalistic viv or use bioactive substrate? I think it'd be interesting to try and I might give it a shot with one of my corns just to see how it would work. I'd love to try it with any of my larger snakes, but I have a feeling everything would be crushed pretty quickly...
