So whats the deal with fans?
OK Why fans in an incubator? is it just to circulate the air? would a vent work as well or is a fan preferred? if so i was going to wire it on a timer

Re: So whats the deal with fans?
fans actually circulate the warm air so there are not any hot spots in the incubator. this makes sure all eggs are getting the same amount of heat. a vent would allow temperatures to fluctuate, so i think a fan is preferred.

ok so it would be stupid to set it up on a timer then it would be better to just keep it on

As long as your incubator is running, so should your fan.

i added two fans in mine one towards the bottom and one at the top. both on different sides so it creates a circular motion.
