    Freshly Shed Mojo het Hypo!

Here are some updated pictures of my male Mojave Het for Hypo. He just shed and was looking particularly nice. I got him back in August and he weighed a mere 75 grams. After today's shed and poo he was at a whopping 320 grams. His blushing gets more intense with every shed. Also, sorry for the flash!

Please note: I do not think the pillow was indicative of how he was feeling about the picture session.

    The close up:

    The jelly roll look:

And yes, he is getting a bit chunky around the posterior section. He only gets one smallish rat pup every seven days, but he has a great appetite.

    Thanks for looking!

Now NO ONE can say that a Het Hypo isnt different looking.

Re: Freshly Shed Mojo het Hypo!

To me that looks like a "typical" mojave. Aka the blushing you say is because of the het hypo I wouldn't see as being for that reason, because there are normal mojaves that look similar or even have more blushing. heck look at all the range within NERD's mojaves:

    http://www.newenglandreptile.com/ner...ll-python.html

They are a beautiful morph, however I would rather have a Butter or Lesser that a mojave because 1. I like their general colouring better 2. they breed to make better looking Leucistics (aka when bred to the same morph, where as mojaves produce too much pattern for me). HOWEVER within their line they have some beautiful looking individuals and when I said this one looks "typical" I didn't mean like every other one I simply meant that it doesn't stand away from the rest of the mojave line with it's hypo genetics. The line is, again, EXTREMELY diverse.

All that said, you have one beautiful snake :3 You need to breed it off for some hypo mojaves and give us some pics ^_^

I was holding him the other day and I noticed that, proportionally to his head, his back end was massive! Part of that was preshed poo buildup I think, but he is still has a giant backside. At least he has a good feeding response.

He came from the Raleigh Reptile Show back in August, so it is more than possible. Just take time and look around! I almost missed him.

I have to say, he does look considerably different from my roommate (PigsNPythons) mojo. The blushing is only getting more intense as he grows. I don't know if it has anything to do with being het hypo, but I will say his future girlfriend, a pastel het hypo looks different than most pastels I have seen (lots of blushing, lighter, less lemony color) so who knows.

I know I've seen pictures of other, non het hypo mojos that look kind of like him too. He will be bred next year to my female pastel het hypo, who at 1200 grams and 2 years, is just shy of being able to breed. I'm going to let her grow another year and hope for a hypo pastave then!

Thank you! Mojos aren't actually one of my favorites. Or weren't... until he came around.
