question about breeding mice? please help

i feel so dumbi have a colony of 1:4 i have had them for about a month now females are 2 to a tank and had the male in there for about 2 weeks then rotated out to the next tank my questions are.

how do i tell if the females have been breed?

how long does it take till i should see some little ones?

do females when pregnet have there "female parts showing"?
really didn't know how to word this

and is it normal for the females to fight?
i hear alot of sqeaking sometimes.

and oh yeah now i forget who the male was but i'm thinking he is the only one who isn't getting fat and is there a way i can tell if he is the mail

Gestation period for mice is 19-21 days.

If the male is in there with the females when you hear the squeaking, it is probably the females resisting. Generally they'll resist for a little while before they give in and they squeak a lot when doing so. However, if the male isn't in there when you hear the squeaking, it's not entirely impossible that there is a compatibility issue between your females, meaning they don't get along.

There are a few mice breeding caresheets on here. I encourage you to check them out if you haven't already. They're stickied at the top of this forum as well as the "Feeder Mice" (I think that's what it's called) forum.

if they are getting fat they could be bred. males will get too if fed good.
hold the mouse by its tail and put its back legs on your finger and you should see balls if its a male.

1 male can take care of a couple females if you keep them together or alot of females if you rotate him around.

i dont rotate my males i keep 1.4 groups in 20L tanks one you get all those babies youll see the need for the room. females will usually start breeding when they start getting that pot belly look to them.
right now if you got 2 males i wouldnt rotate them at all until you see pregnant females. it is true was was said about the females trying to get away when teh male is trying to breed them i have many females that will try to run with the male attached to them squeaking and doing everything they can to get away, while some just kinda do do anything.

when paring mice every morning i take out the females and dangle them by tail to look in the vaginal area. when bred youll notice a white or clear substance plugging the area. this is sign shes been mated and soon to be expecting. AkA SPERM PLUG

19-21 gestation is very early normal gestation i seen in my colony was 22-24 days
